    Meenakshi Jha Banerjee is a distinguished contemporary artist based in Delhi, known for her evocative works rooted in the traditional folk art of Mithila. A self-taught painter with over 24 years of practice, she blends heritage motifs with modern themes, creating intricately detailed compositions that reflect social and cultural narratives. Honoured with a Senior Fellowship in Art (2024–2026) by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Meenakshi’s work bridges the gap between tradition and modernity.
